Public Website - 2.0.02 Release Notes

Bug Fixes

This release addresses several small bugs that related to how Google viewed our public website as each were being crawled and indexed. Currently, the site contains approximately 90,000 pages when the core site and various landing pages are considered.

While the core site was being discovered correctly by Google and other search engines, the landing pages and dynamic advertising pages were not. This was due to a bug found within the code that dynamically generates each URL.

Additionally, during this discovery it was also found that several of the dynamic pages had a schema bug which caused an exception error to be thrown while the page was being crawled by search engines. This resulted in a much slower crawl rate.

With these bugs resolved Google and other search engines will be able to more accurately and efficiently crawl all of the pages that display on our public website. This will also allow each of the advertisements that users may publish to be discovered by Google much quicker than had previously been accomplished.

To even further increase the speed at which Google discovers and displays our user's published ads, we will also be implementing additional APIs that will execute at the time the user publishes their ad. This addition will allow a user's ad to be visible in a Google Search within hours of publishing their ad rather than a few days.

We anticipate these additional APIs to be implemented within the next few weeks.

In addition to the bug fixes discussed in the prior section, we have added a new page to the Resources menu. This page will display case studies that will help to highlight the problems that our solutions are designed to resolve for the MH/RV park industry.
