Zapier Integration with Contacts CRM

In this article we will cover the basics of what Zapier is, and how you can leverage the Zapier integration built within Contacts CRM to send a Contact's information stored in Contacts CRM to your favorite apps such as Mailchimp or Google Sheets.

Note - To begin using Contacts CRM, you must have a paid plan.

Overview

While not affiliated with MHParks.com, Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your apps and services. Using a Zapier account you can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration. To learn more about Zapier please visit the Zapier Help Center.

When users choose to utilize the Contacts CRM built-in Zapier Integration with their Zapier account, they must supply Zapier with their personal API key provided by MHParks.com.

Important - For security purpose, your encrypted API key should never be shared with other individuals as it helps maintain security between your Zapier account and your MHParks.com account.

Important - In the event that your personal API key is lost or stolen, you can regenerate a new API key from within the Zapier Integration settings of Contacts CRM,

After supplying Zapier with this API key you can start to build Zaps that will assist you in mapping the fields within Contacts CRM to the fields within other apps that you may choose. While creating Zaps you can also choose what type of event triggers a Zap to execute within Zapier.

By utilizing a Create/Update event within a Zap, users can trigger a Zap to execute that sends a Contact's information from Contacts CRM to any other app that Zapier supports.

An example of this would be if you advertised a Park for Sale Ad using our Advertise Solution, and you wanted to send them an email after they were automatically added to your Contacts CRM.

Additionally, when a Create/Update even is utilized in a Zap that monitors another app, a Zap can send a contact's information from that app to Contacts CRM.

An example of this would be if you had a Mailchimp landing page that may included a newsletter sign up form. Upon your page's visitor completing the form and clicking a save button the person's information is not only stored within Mailchimp. Since the record is being created, the associated Zap will automatically sends the record to your Contacts CRM also.

Note - For additional information regarding Zapier and how to create Zaps, please refer to the Zapier Help Center.

Important - Users must have a Zapier account to utilize the Zapier Integration built into Contacts CRM.

Optional Source ID

Each time a new visitor clicks on your Park for Sale Ad, Classified Ad, and Professionals page, they are added to your Contacts CRM as a new Lead. To help assist users with triggering specific workflows within their 3rd party app after a Zap has been executed, we've included an optional Source ID field.

When you specify a Source ID value within the Zapier Integration of Contacts CRM, this value is saved within the new Lead's record.

By providing a Source ID value that is used within your 3rd party app to trigger an event, you can ensure that once the Zap has sent the Lead's information from Contacts CRM to the 3rd party app, the workflow is triggered automatically.

An example of this would be if you wanted to send an introductory email from your MailerLite email marketing account to each new visitor that viewed your Park for Sale Ad. To accomplish this you would simply set up a MailerLite automation workflow that sends the email when a specific value is included with the record as it's passed to MailerLite with a Zap.

By setting the Source ID value, within the Zapier Integration of Contacts CRM, equal to the value within the automated workflow, the automation would be triggered by MailerLite to send the email.
