Using the Favorites List

Our Favorites List feature isn't just a star or map pin color change. Instead it's a fully customizable way for you to work with the specific MH/RV parks you add. This customization makes it a great way to track the various activities you would traditionally use a park list for.

By giving the user complete control over the pin colors and labels of their Favorites List, users are only limited to their own imagination for how to utilize this option.

In this article we will cover how to first build your customized list of Favorite Types by managing their pin colors and labels. Then we will discuss how to apply them to a park when you want to add a park to your Favorites List.

Overview

Prior to being able to add a park to your Favorites, you must first create at least one Favorite Type. This allows your Favorites list to display the type of favorite the park is.

While users can always add, edit, and delete the pin colors and labels that they use to identify a park as a Favorite Type, we encourage our users to think about how they wish to utilize Park Sites. This helps ensure your Favorites List longevity, as you work with your Favorites List over time.

For example, if you are using the Favorites List to track parks that you have made contact with, you may wish to create three Favorite Types: Call Back, Do Not Call, and Possible Sale.

This way as you make contact with different parks, you can quickly identify within your Favorites List which parks are interested in what you are offering, and which parks are a hard no.

Instructions

Managing Favorite Types

User's must complete the following steps at least once to begin using the Favorites List:

1. Login to your account.
2. From within your Dashboard, click Park Sites from the left menu.
3. From within the main Park Sites page, click the Settings icon located just above the top right of the Google Map, and select Favorites Types.
4. Select the color you wish to use to identify a favorite park with by either clicking on the color or by entering the color's HEX value when you click the More Colors link.
5. Within the Label field, enter a unique value that will help remind you what the pin color represents.
6. Click the Add button once it becomes active.
7. Repeat each step to add additional Favorite Types.

Adding a Park To Your Favorites List

To include a specific park in your Favorites List you will first be required to add it by performing the following steps:

1. Login to your account.
2. From within your Dashboard, click Park Sites from the left menu.
3. Click the map pin of the specific park you wish to add to your Favorites List. (This will open the park's information slider.)
4. Within the park's informational slider, click the Favorites Type menu and select one of the Favorite Types you created within the steps outlined in the Managing Favorites Types section above.
5. After selecting your customized Favorites Type, the park will be added to your Favorites List. (You can also change your selection at any time by simply clicking a different option within the Favorites Type menu.)

Removing a Park From Your Favorites List

To remove a park from your Favorites List, please perform the following steps:

1. Login to your account.
2. From within your Dashboard, click Park Sites from the left menu.
3. Select the map pin for the specific park you wish to remove from your Favorites List. (This will open the park's informational slider.)
4. Within the park's informational slider, click the Favorites Type menu and select Remove from favorites.

Viewing Your Favorites List

To view all of the parks you have successfully added to your Favorites List, perform the following steps:

1. Login to your account.
2. From within your Dashboard, click Park Sites from the left menu.
3. Click the Favorites button located just above the integrated Google Map.
4. Your list of favorite parks will appear in a list just to the left of the integrated Google Map.
